Mr. T.S. Somal is President of the Panjab Brick Kiln Owners Association and has held the position since 1971. During this term he was effective in the removal of confining regulatory laws governing the Brick Industry for the last forty years, a pioneer step followed by all other states in India.

Mr. T.S. Somal held the position of President All India Brick and Tile Manufacturers Federation for more than seven years. This is the longest term any person has ever held that office. Amongst his other achievements, he proposed the simplification of labor laws and was effective in the drafting of a new and simplified law governing the operations of the Brick Industry in India. This proposal is now before the Parliament.
